Botucatu geological formation, a sedimentary rock called Sandstone (Arenito) present in the Mountains (Serra Geral) formation below the basaltic formation, a result of the great desertification of the still Gondwana continent, the Botucatu desert, similar to the Sahara desert. This desert that millions of years ago was compressed forming the sedimentary rock that suffers erosion with the water of the River Tunnel and also with the air.

The Activity starts with a strong walk on grass (sometimes wet and muddy), in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, water march walking on rocks, loose rocks, smooth stones, crossing walls over 50 meters high, slightly cold water. At the end of the waterfall bath and a steep climb of +or- 87m until arriving back at the Pousada Rio Túnel.
